Year2020 -
Hotel Rebranding + website with booking integration.
Our approach.
A deep dive into the hotel’s archives revealed decades of historical documents and advertisements, with leaflets promoting hot running water – a major differentiator at its time. The approach became very clear, the client required an identity that paid tribute to its heritage, giving new life to tradition and expertise, in a method made relevant to modern travelers with a heart for the historic.
In its long history, the hotel saw dozens of logo designs and styles, representatives of the design styles of their time. One in particular stood out, and it became the inspiration behind the new brand. Crafted from a decades old advertisement, the logo was then customised with optical corrections, and spacing to give it a clean and contemporary twist on the typography.
We curated a brand composition to be used across communications and brand material. Composed from the historical documents, the elements, a mix of photography, drawings, letters and advertisements, were digitised and colour treated, telling a story and focusing on the hotel’s heritage.
The brand was then translated across social profiles, brand material, and a new website built to bring the brand to life and drive direct bookings. The website was custom designed and developed, focusing on user navigation in an immersive brand experience. Integrated with a booking system and impactful CTAs for fast user experience and path to booking.
Impact.
The new brand tells a compelling story, one that captivates the imaginations of guests and potential visitors alike. Ultimately, making itself relevant to modern customers and standing out amongst a highly competitive and growing hospitality market.
The new website delivers on a clean, fast online presence. Where its story of heritage is told, in a contemporary user experience, effectively positioning the brand for years to come.
