Seaview Hotel in Bugibba has long been an oasis for tranquillity and relaxation. In the sixties it was a retreat house for monks; in the seventies, eighties, and nineties, it was an iconic venue for locals and tourists, and now following a multi-million-dollar investment in 2021, it is a stunning 4* Adults only hotel.
The reopening created an urgent need for the website to be upgraded to a standard that reflected their totally new offering and brand.
If a website does not effectively showcase a hotel and provide an exceptional UX/UI booking experience, the impact on conversions and revenue is detrimental.
Most of us have gone through the online process of selecting a hotel abroad. We normally choose a shortlist based on practical information, and then for the final selection, we completely rely on indications from their booking platform to make our decision!
We form a picture of the service, quality, and atmosphere, through our experience of navigating the site. Is the site intuitive and efficient, or is it clunky and difficult to find simple information? Is the branding (colours, elements) consistent? Does entering payment information feel smooth, secure, and reliable?
These factors are crucial. Any disruption in these processes cause major risk of a potential guest ‘clicking off’ and going with another option in their shortlist.
We completely redeveloped the Seaview website to create an experience that hit all these touchpoints. A fully customised and engaging user journey was designed and implemented, including full integration with internal systems and inventory, strategic CTA’s (calls to action), intuitive navigation, and crucially – seamless functionality between both mobile and desktop.
Through in-depth research, we understood their identity, their market landscape and USPs. Our designers captured these focal points and strategically weaved them into the site design.
Seaview Hotel now boats an attractive online presence, enjoying a competitive edge with a user experience that now mirrors the guest experience. The seamless integration with inventory has dramatically increased the likelihood of conversions, repositioning revenue targets and solidifying market position.
