We are seeking a talented and creative Motion Animation Designer with strong experience in motion graphics, animation, visual storytelling, and multimedia content to join our team and contribute to the development of impactful brand communications across digital platforms.

 

As a Motion Animation Designer at Steves&Co., you will be reporting to the Senior/Lead Designer. You will play a crucial role in bringing creative concepts, brand identities, campaigns, and digital experiences to life through engaging motion graphics and animation. This position requires a combination of artistic creativity, technical proficiency, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of design principles. Experience in branding and UX/UI is considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients or account managers to discuss business objectives, creative briefs, and project requirements.
  • Work under pressure, both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Be a team player, supporting, following, and suggesting direction as needed.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills for effective presentations and pitches.
  • Support brainstorming sessions with the creative team to develop campaign ideas, brand concepts, and motion-led creative solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audiences.
  • Conceptualise, design, and animate engaging motion graphics for various platforms, including social media, websites, presentations, digital campaigns, and video content.
  • Create animated assets, explainer videos, title sequences, transitions, kinetic typography, and other multimedia content.
  • Develop motion treatments that align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall visual identity of client projects.
  • Assist in creating storyboards, animatics, and visual concepts to communicate animation direction clearly.
  • Utilise industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant motion design tools.
  • Work with audio, music, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance animated content where required.
  • Ensure all motion and animation outputs are visually polished, on brief, and delivered to a high standard.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, animation techniques, social media formats, and digital content best practices.
  • Manage multiple motion design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
  • Collaborate with managers to prioritise tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure consistency in visual elements, animation style, and branding across all client deliverables.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and contribute to the evolution of brand identities where needed.
  • Pay attention to detail, overseeing that delivered work is of high quality and on time.
  • Ensure the creative server filing system is organised.
  • Have a can-do attitude and resilience under pressure and against deadlines.
  • Present motion concepts and animation ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Incorporate client feedback to refine and finalise animations and motion assets.
  • Assist with other general creative tasks as needed.

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Motion Design, Animation, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience, preferably 3 or more years, as a Motion Animation Designer, Motion Designer, Animator, or similar role, ideally in a creative agency setting.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant animation tools.
  • Strong portfolio or showreel showcasing motion graphics, animation, video content, and visual storytelling.
  • Good understanding of design principles, typography, composition, pacing, and animation timing.
  • Ability to work creatively within brand guidelines.
  • Experience in branding and UX/UI design is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and digital design workflows is considered beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
